Intro

I came up with this idea last night, and I decided a blog is a good place to host it. A lot more people seemed interested than I thought there would be, so this might be a real thing.
One if the things that keeps me nanowrimoing every November is the sense of community, so that'd be swell to have.

Obviously, you can also write five songs in April without ever interacting with this blog. There is only one rule to Write Five Songs in April.

The rule? Write five songs between April 1 and April 30th.

Started working on it before April? That's okay! Don't want to share it with anyone? That's okay! Only wrote lyrics, only wrote music, whatever? What's cheating is up to you. If it feels legit, it is legit.

So, if you want to, feel free to share each song as you wrote them, however you finish them. Leave links to blogs, SoundCloud, YouTube, twitlonger, anything, in the comments. Leave comments like I FINISHED! leave what you want.

Also, I'll make a participants links page, where you can put your name, YouTube, Twitter, dog's Facebook, whatever. All you gotta do is say you're in and you'll get free advertising on a blogger blog no one's heard of!
